The new headquarters of the telecommunications company Martel Inc. are located on the PR-199 road (Ave. Las Cumbres) intersection with Emiliano Pol street in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The client wanted to reuse an old banking institution as it yields for the daily operations of his company through three levels and 13,949 sf. Martel has been providing residential, institutional and corporate solutions within the telecommunications, security and audiovisual industry for 40 years. The program for this project consists of a reception, waiting room, workstations, conference room, offices, break room, huddle rooms, collaborative work areas and warehouse.

he challenge was to promote, show and integrate, through design, the services provided by Martel, with the Telecommunications and Transit division in the same building. Space interacts with technology. An integral part of the design development was to allow the building's telecommunications infrastructure to have a leading role in the project. This is evident when observing the exposed roof areas that highlight data cabling and telecommunications systems, as well as in the reception area which emphasizes the server area in a showcase.
