GENERAL INFO:

The project is located at the current site of Concordia Resort on the East Side of St. Johns Island of the U.S. Virgin Islands. This project consisted of a detailed site analysis for the design of a new Eco- Resort to be developed in this unique landscape. This peculiar site is located near a historic sugar mill and it is surrounded by National Parks protected land and waters. The main intention is to integrate these historical and natural elements as part of the tourist attractions of the new development and develop a project that blends with the site’s very particular landscape. RCMdO has produced a study that distills the most salient topographical, geographical, natural and environmental features of the site serving as base for the master planning of what will become the first ecological resort in the world to be designated “Cradle to Cradle”. RCMdO will coordinate the development of the project design and the development of landscape analysis, development of master plans, analysis of flora and fauna and analysis of special topographic conditions.
